SCENE AND HEARD: Lions Club makes generous donations

Friendship centre, St. Vincent de Paul both benefit from Lions' largesse in 2024

The Alberni Valley Lions Club closed out 2024 with a pair of generous donations.

Both the St. Vincent de Paul and Port Alberni Friendship Center donations were for $500 to assist with Christmas hampers to families. Funds came for the Lion’s annual fundraising auction held in early November.

The Lions Club thanks everyone that donated and participated in the 2024 auction. Lions Club members wish everyone a healthy and happy New Year.
