A downpour on Wednesday, Nov. 20 didn't stop families from visiting Uptown Port Alberni for the community's annual "Moonlight Madness" event.
Shops in the area were open late as Uptown merchants hosted a scavenger hunt. Customers hunted for Christmas elves at each location for a chance to win a basket of goodies.
Santa made an appearance at Steampunk Cafe and was very popular with children of all ages.
The wet weather didn’t discourage shoppers, as families walked around the Uptown area to check out special deals and giveaways.
