BIODYNAMIC GARDENING TALK at Char’s Landing with Gary and Louis Swann of Leda Organic Farm. Learn the tools and techniques to nurture your garden. 6-8 p.m. (doors open at 5:30). Admission by donation.

SUN. MAR. 23
THE BARRY MILLER QUARTET performs at Char’s Landing. Music is ongoing from 6-8 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. Voluntary gratuity is appreciated. Attendees are welcome to bring their own snacks or supper. Beverage bar is open.
BIODYNAMIC COMPOST WORKSHOP at Leda Farm (4361 Batty Rd). 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Learn about Rudolf Steiner’s six compost preparations.
PAINT A WOODEN FISH Kids drop-in class at the Grove Art Gallery. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. $10 per participant, suggested for ages 5 and up.

DEATH CAFE at the Alberni Valley Hospice Office (2579 10th Ave). A safe space to talk about death and related issues. 7-9 p.m. 
LINO SESSION at the Grove Art Gallery (Harbour Quay). 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Learn how to design and carve your own lino stamp, which you can use to create art pieces, cards, t-shirts and more. Register at www.alberniarts.com/social-studio.

ROBBIE VAN presents "New Love Springs" with special guest Sitka Rose at Char’s Landing. Doors open at 7 p.m. and show starts at 7:30 p.m. Entry by donation. Revel in the jazz-sung stories of new hope, new life and new love.
CANADIAN COUNCIL OF THE BLIND Port Alberni chapter meets at 10 a.m. the first Wednesday of each month at Abbeyfield (3839 Eighth Avenue) in the downstairs meeting room at the back of the building.
