The Parksville artist is known for her relaxed and approachable teaching style, taking care to focus on those who need the extra assistance, while providing encouragement. This Burst of Colour class is perfect for those who are looking to hone their skills or are just starting out in acrylics.
Says Schaefer: flowers are a great subject to paint with their forgiving and curvy designs. This workshop provides room for experimentation and play.
Schaefer's class is planned for Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., located at the Grove Gallery. Creative Kids: join us for the Mini Muse classes at the Harbour Key
The arts council and AV Museum are proud to announce a new collaborative kids workshop named “Mini Muse,” slated for May 31 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This would be perfect for kids aged eight to 13: your kiddos will get to dive into the world of local marine life with an exciting visit to the Maritime Heritage Centre. Here they will get to learn about the local fish and wildlife that live in the Alberni Inlet.
Then, students will head to the Grove Gallery for a fun, hands-on art class, inspired by art from the permanent art collection. Students will not only learn about different mediums and art styles, but create a masterpiece to take home! This is the perfect workshop for curious and creative young minds.
