The Grove Art Gallery is preparing to hold a children's festival at Gyro Park and is looking for volunteers. Are you in?

The Community Arts Council of the Alberni Valley will hold the inaugural Alberni Valley Children’s Arts Festival in early 2025.

Set to take place on Family Day weekend, Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, at the beautiful Gyro Park, this one-day event is set to be a vibrant celebration of creativity, community, and family fun.

The festival promises to ignite the imaginations of children and provide families with a day full of inspiration and engagement. Highlights of the event include live theatre performances, captivating music acts, a magic show and a variety of art-making stations and activities from local community groups. Each feature has been thoughtfully curated to foster an environment where children can freely explore and express their creativity.

Organizers are currently seeking the following: musicians and performers who can deliver children-specific entertainment for ages under five and over five years old; performing artists will be paid our standard hourly rate. We are also looking for a facepainter.

Vendors such as kids-focused businesses or craftspeople who can bring a tent and table for this indoor/outdoor event are also encouraged to participate. Organizers are also looking for volunteers and sponsors to ensure the event is an unforgettable experience for families.

Business sponsorship offers a unique opportunity to connect with a diverse and engaged audience while helping ensure this free, accessible event becomes a beloved annual tradition.

If you’re interested in joining, please email Angela at admin@alberniarts.com or visit our website alberniarts.com for more information. More information about the event, its sponsors and performances will be announced late in January.
