Irish singer-songwriter Mick Flannery will be making a stop at Char's Landing in Port Alberni this week.
Flannery is a multi-platinum-selling artist. To date, he has released eight studio albums, three of which have reached No. 1. Flannery is renowned for writing songs with fluency, expressing layered aspects of the human condition, its flaws, triumphs and general uncertainty.
His most recent release, Goodtime Charlie, was the first international album to be signed to John Prine's beloved Oh Boy Records out of Nashville, Tennessee. It has more collaborations and co-writes than any prior albums, including collaborations with luminary artists such as Valerie June, Tianna Esperanza, Anaïs Mitchell, Ana Egge, Justin Stanley, Adam Landry and Andrew House, as well as longtime collaborator Tony Buchen.
Flannery will perform a small, intimate show at Char's Landing on Friday, July 19. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the concert runs from 8-10 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.charslanding/events or by calling or texting Char at 250-730-1636.
