Marim-Bam-Buzz will hold a concert and marimba workshop at Port Alberni’s Harbour Quay on Saturday, June 24.
If you’ve wanted to learn to play marimba, or are curious how it sounds, Marim-Bam-Buzz will play a concert starting at 10:30 a.m., which is free to anyone. The workshop requires registration and a fee (sliding scale between $10 and $20) and will take place from 12:30–2 p.m.
Those attending the workshop will learn to play a traditional Zimbabwean song. Instruction will be geared toward adults but children aged 12 years and older are also welcome.
