The Grove Gallery is set to open its latest exhibit, "Transitions," with an opening reception this Saturday, Oct. 5 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The community is invited to join us to enjoy the first viewing of this compelling members’ exhibit and meet the artists behind the work.
"Transitions" offers a profound reflection on the many changes that shape both individual lives and the broader community of Port Alberni. Artworks in the exhibit delve into personal transformations, as well as shifts in our social and environmental landscapes.
This collection encourages viewers to notice and contemplate the continuous evolution inherent to our personal experiences and community life, highlighting how these changes contribute to the rich tapestry of Port Alberni. Through a diverse collection of artwork, this exhibit features new and established artists in the Alberni Valley.
The opening event on Oct. 5 promises to provide not only first looks at these inspiring works, but also an opportunity for community members to engage with the artists and discuss the themes of the exhibit. This exhibit runs until Nov. 2.
