Dynamic Canadian roots rocker WiL returns to Char’s Landing for a live performance on Saturday, Jan. 21.
Vancouver Island-based WiL is known across Canada for his guitar-string-breaking legendary live performances. He’s back with his latest release, an EP simply titled Songs.
WiL has a gift and he loves to share it. In his musicianship, lyrics and live performance, he exudes an equal measure of ferocious intent and heart wrenching beauty. His expansive roots-rock sound coupled with legendary live performances makes this Vancouver Island based artist not one to miss.
Songs is a musical anomaly in his career, unlike anything he’s ever offered up over his almost two decades in the business: an entirely self-contained album of aural exploration that throws all perceptions of who ‘WiL’ is, what he does and how he sounds out the window.
WiL will perform at Char’s Landing with drummer Keith Gallant and keyboard player/vocalist Lena Birtwistle.
Music starts at 8 p.m. Char’s Landing is located at 4815 Argyle St. in the converted white church at Fifth Avenue.
Tickets are $20 (seniors/ kids $15) and available at Char’s Landing.
