Uchuck author speaks

Author David Esson is giving a presentation and reading at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2 at the Harbour Quay Marina pier.

The Port Alberni Maritime Heritage Society would like to invite those interested to attend a meet and greet with west coast author David Esson Young, author of the best seller, The Uchuck Years – A West Coast Shipping Saga.

The talk and book signing will take place at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2 at the Hutcheson Gallery on the Harbour Quay Marina pier.

Young will discuss his recent book about the history of the Uchuck, operating out of Port Alberni and Gold River.

Seating will be limited. Admission will be by donation to the operation of the Maritime Museum and Hutcheson Gallery on the waterfront.
