Celebrate Saint David’s Day—the national day of Wales—with a reading of Under Milk Wood, by famed Welsh author Dylan Thomas, on Tuesday, March 1 at Char’s Landing.

Llaregub Productions (local theatre enthusiasts) presents a staged reading of Dylan Thomas’s play Under Milk Wood. To get the cast and the audience in the right mood, Allyn Davies will sing some traditional Welsh Songs.

A baker’s dozen of actors will acquaint you with the comic, sad and very Welsh lives and dreams of the local characters.

The reading of the play begins at 7:30 p.m. at Char’s Landing, 4815 Argyle St. at Fifth Avenue. Admission is by donation, and proceeds will go to Literacy Alberni Society.
