The Alberni Valley Community Foundation receives a donation from the Alberni Valley Gaming Association.

The Alberni Valley Community Foundation has received another $350,000 from the sale of the RimRock Casino.

This is the second payment in a pledge of $1.25 million over four years from the Alberni Valley Gaming Association, which sold the RimRock Casino in 2020 to Coulson Group of Companies.

Hugh Grist of the AVCF says this additional $350,000 will "dramatically increase" the foundation's investment income and will provide "long-lasting benefits" to charities in the Alberni Valley. As the AVCF's investment income increases over the next few years, the foundation will be able to support more projects with larger contributions.

The AVCF provides grants to charities over all fields of interest in the Alberni Valley. Charities can apply in early 2025 for the next distribution of funds online at www.albernifoundation.ca.
