Hockey Day in PA got off to an early start at 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 26, 2024 with a pancake breakfast. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. there was an autograph session, games with the junior hockey teams the Alberni Valley Bulldogs and Port Alberni Bombers.
The day also featured a hockey gear swap.
Hockey was the name of the game all day Saturday with games on both the Coulson and Weyerhaeuser rinks.
Along with all this fun there were also giveaways that included toques.
The mascots held a fun game to fill in the half time.
There were 1,615 that attended the 7 p.m. game with the Bulldogs, who beat Coquitlam Express 4-1.
The under-18 winners were the Buccaneers, 10-4 over the minor league Bulldogs. The Bombers beat their Nanaimo Buccaneers, 4-1 in the afternoon game.
