Are you ready to shake it out in Port Alberni this summer?
One of the Island's favourite music festivals returns Aug. 9 and 10, when the Five Acre Shaker fills the Alberni District Fall Fair Grounds, in the heart of Port Alberni.
"We are thrilled to once again grow this annual event within our community and keep it open and inclusive to all ages.” explain Lance and Victoria Goddard, co-founders of the annual event.
“This year, we are excited to welcome even more artists to our lineup, expanding the tapestry of talent that enriches our event. Additionally, we'll be opening the gates earlier on Saturday to allow for the community to enjoy even more activities, food, and a great place to spend their weekend.”
Since the inaugural Five Acre Shaker back in 2014, the festival has brought more than 75 musical acts to the Valley, but beyond a stellar music lineup, the all-ages festival features stunning visual art, yummy food, tasty beverages, a fun kids' zone and more.
Presented by Alberni Valley Co-op and Namor Cabinets, the Shaker offers either a single-day or two-day ticket – chose your favourite lineup, or settle in for the full show! In addition to a variety of food and beverage options, camping is available on-site. Those 12 and younger are free.
