Do you dream of once again greeting life with confidence, enjoying improved nutrition and digestion, and eliminating chronic pain and infection that can come from dental challenges?
“Teeth in a Day” may be the solution to improving your oral, physical and mental health, suggests Dr. Robert Wolanski, Director of Vancouver Island Implant Centre in Nanaimo.
Dr. Wolanski has been surgically placing and restoring dental implants for 26 years, meaning dental implant treatment comes with greater comfort and predictability.
What is Teeth in a Day? Teeth in a Day describes a technique that can allow for the placement of a dental prosthesis the same day your teeth are removed. It’s also possible for patients who are already missing teeth and wearing removable dentures.
“At our office you have the option of a dental prosthesis that you can remove and clean easily or one that is screwed and more solid like natural teeth – one of the most rewarding and exciting procedures we do for our patients,” Dr. Wolanski says, noting implanted dentures are also removable but only by an experienced dentist.
How has the technology changed? The techniques have evolved significantly from a time when implant surgery was very painful and left patients sore and bruised for weeks. Today, within 24 hours, pain is almost nonexistent and swelling is barely visible. “The implant design and surgical protocols have evolved to a point where the experience is much easier for patients,” Dr. Wolanski reflects.
Quality and experience matters: “Implants require a strict protocol and having a surgeon with many years experience is beneficial for numerous reasons, particularly a predictable and pleasant result,” Dr. Wolanski says. “There are numerous implant systems on the market and having worked with many of them, I use only premium implant systems in our office.”
Focus on the patient experience: Dr. Wolanski also offers patients the ability to undergo all facets of the procedure in one office. “It’s unique to our practice – I look after all procedures at our clinic, rather than co-ordinating with various dentists and specialists,” he says. “We’re also the only office in Nanaimo that provides IV sedation for all dental procedures.”
After helping so many patients, the Vancouver Island Implant Centre team continues to find great reward in providing such a life-changing experience: “They can come to our office in the morning with painful, unsightly teeth and leave that afternoon with a beautiful new smile. And if we have done the procedure using IV sedation, the patient often doesn’t even remember being here. I can’t tell you how many hugs and tears of joy we have shared together. It is true that you can Change your Smile, Change your Life.”
“I have the utmost in gratitude to have had the privilege of helping so many patients and look forward to helping many more.”
