For those eager to make their ballot count, advance voting starts Saturday.

There are six days of advance voting leading up to the May 9 provincial general election.

Advance voting is available on Saturday and Sunday, April 29 and 30, and Wednesday, May 3 through Saturday, May 6.

In Port Alberni, voters can head to the Alberni Athletic Hall between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on advance polling days.

A telephone voting option is also available for B.C. residents with vision loss or who have a disability that restricts their ability to vote independently.

On May 9, polls will be open across the province from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
