The Port Alberni Chamber of Commerce is in the free and clear with the city.
The chamber paid off its $300,000 loan with the city, finance manager Cathy Rothwell said.
The development was announced at Monday’s city council meeting.
The chamber originally took out the loan with the city in order to complete construction of its new facility.
The loan was originally due on May 31 but the city granted an extension to allow the chamber more lag time with reimbursement funding that was yet to be received.
