Alberni Flying Club hosts open house

The flying club at the Alberni Valley Regional Airport invites the public to come out to the airport on June 23 and see what's up.

The Alberni flying club is having an open house on Sunday, June 23 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Club president Chris Duncan said there will be scenic rides over the Alberni Valley, glider rides, and parachute jumps. There will also be static displays and a barbecue.

Admission to the airport is free, but the rides and barbecue include a nominal fee.
