Alberni motorcyclist injured in highway crash

A motorcyclist was injured in a crash with a pickup truck on the Alberni Highway Friday afternoon.

Paramedics treat a motorcyclist who was injured after colliding with a pickup truck at the corner of Maebelle Road and the Alberni Highway on Friday afternoon.

A motorcyclist was injured in a crash with a pickup truck on the Alberni Highway Friday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the corner Maebelle Road and the Alberni Highway just after 4:30 p.m. Paramedics treated an adult who was in a collision with a truck while riding his motorcycle, said BC Ambulance Port Alberni Unit Chief Bruce Patterson.

The man was transported to West Coast General Hospital with injuries Patterson said he couldn’t disclose.

The man’s condition isn’t known.
