Alberni RCMP investigating man’s death

Port Alberni RCMP are investigating the death of a 22-year old man who was found dead Thursday morning.

Port Alberni RCMP are investigating the death of a 22-year-old man.

The man was found behind the Port Alberni Shelter on Eighth Avenue early Thursday morning, RCMP Sgt. Ken Cooper said.

The man was a resident of a hostel, Cooper added.

The coroner has attended the scene and police are canvassing the hostel to trace the man’s activities since last night.

No cause of death has been established yet, Cooper said.
