Alberni squash club applies to expand liquor licence

PA Squash and Fitness wants to expand its liquor primary licence to 111 patrons from 25.

The PA Squash and Fitness on Third Avenue has applied to the Liquor Control &Licensing Branch to increase its primary liquor licence to 111 patrons from 25.

The licenced area of the facility comprises its billiards hall and lounge area.

The squash club is not asking for a change in its hours; they remain the same, from noon to 2 a.m. Monday through Sunday.

The City of Port Alberni put out a call for comment on the amendment; submissions were to be received at Port Alberni City Hall by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5.
