A student from Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre has died after collapsing while storm watching on Tuesday (Dec. 9, 2014).
The B.C. Coroner's Office said River Timothy Sidley, 22, of Rossland, was storm watching with friends in the early morning hours of Dec. 9 when he collapsed, according to witnesses. He was taken to Bamfield Health Centre but could not be resuscitated.
The man's cause of death "is still very much under investigation," coroner Barb McLintock said.
