The Southside Community Church on Ninth Avenue is burning this morning, Jan. 3, 2012. No injuries have been reported.
Neill Street between 10th and Eighth avenues has been closed as fire crews work to contain the fire and smoke. The church backs onto an alley shared by the Kiwanis Hilton Centre. Children and parents could be seen on the sidewalk outside the centre.
