The City of Port Alberni has officially hired a new manager of human resources.
Following former director of corporate services Theresa Kingston’s reassignment to the role of director of community services (filling the position former director of parks, recreation and heritage Scott Kenny left when he retired last summer) in the fall of 2015, Krista Tremblay assumed her duties in the new role on May 30.
Tremblay spent the past 16 years working for Catalyst Paper’s Port Alberni mill, with the past six spent as human resources manager.
While Tremblay will be exempt staff, her salary was not disclosed.
