Port Alberni City Council will hold a series of budget meetings at city hall beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 1, when CAO Tim Pley will present a draft of the 2017–2021 financial plan.
The following week on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m., a further special budget meeting will be held for council and senior staff to discuss the draft of the budget in detail.
A public town hall meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m., also in council chambers, which will provide community members with the opportunity to voice their opinions, suggest new ideas and ask questions of council.
Residents can participate in person or online by submitting questions through e-mail, Facebook or Twitter.
All of these meetings will be open to the public and will be live streamed and archived on the city’s website at www.portalberni.ca.
