City of Port Alberni receives $112,706 or 10 per cent of Chances Rim Rock's profits made in the last quarter.

The City of Port Alberni received $112,706 or 10 per cent of the estimated $1.1 million profit that Chances Rim Rock Gaming Centre made between April 1 and June 30, 2013.

According to the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, the local casino grossed $1,878,466.82 in the most recent quarter, ending in June. Expenses were $751,404.42, leaving a net profit of $1,127,062.40.

The city’s share was only about $2,000 lower than in the same quarter last year.
