Highway 4 west of Port Alberni was closed for a few hours last week as a result of a snowplow crash.
The Port Alberni Fire Department and Sproat Lake Volunteer Fire Department responded to a rollover MVI in the early morning on Jan. 4, 2022. The vehicle was initially reported to be a semi-truck, but was later identified as a Main Road snowplow.
The highway had to be closed near McCoy Lake Road between noon and 3 p.m. so the vehicle could be recovered.
