The BC Coroner's Service has identified the 23-year old woman who died suddenly in Port Alberni last week as Morgan Scoular, Vancouver Island Regional Coroner Matt Brown said.
Scoular was found in medical distress at a residence in Port Alberni on Oct. 21 at 9 a.m. She was taken to West Coast General Hospital where she died three days later.
The incident remains under investigation by the coroner's service. A cause of death hasn't been determined. “It can take a period of time before that can be established,” Brown said.
Police are still appealing to the public for information to help piece together the hours leading up to Scoular's death.
