Craig is new SD70 chair

Craig beat out Ransom for the position.

The inaugural School District #70 school board meeting saw a change up in not only trustees but in chair. Jane Jones beat out Gaelle Freye for a seat on the board while Pam Craig will replace Larry Ransom as chair.

Craig returned to the school board in 2011 after a nine-year absence (she had previously served as a trustee from 1991-2002). This is her second term in a row.

Ransom was first elected to the school board in a by-election in 1997 and is currently serving in his sixth full term as a trustee.
