Port Alberni RCMP and an Emergency Response Team were called to Bainbridge Main Road near Mount Arrowsmith after reports came in about a distraught male on the logging road on Thursday, June 22.
The incident began around 4 p.m. and successfully resolved around 9 p.m.
Police located the man, closed off access to the immediate area and negotiated and talked to the man.
The man was then taken into custody without incident and transported to hospital for medical assessment.
