The Career Centre Team at Alberni District Secondary School is hosting a career education event on Thursday, Jan. 19 for students in Grades 10–12, and Friday, Jan. 20 (Grades 6–9) that features Work BC’s ‘Find Your Fit’ tour.
A public drop-in session is also planned for Thursday from 3:30–6 p.m.
The Find Your Fit tour is fun, interactive and designed to help students discover B.C. careers.
“Although they have stopped at many communities across Vancouver Island with the Find Your Fit Tour, we are the only stop on the Island for the additional Career Education Day,” Terri-Ann Wynans said.
Partners such as VIU, Catalyst Paper, Western Forest Products, and various trades colleges will be on hand. Access for the public event will be from the school’s rear entrance.
