A 38-year-old Port Alberni woman was the victim of a hit-and-run on Sunday morning.

A 38-year-old Port Alberni woman was the victim of a hit-and-run on Sunday morning.

According to the Port Alberni RCMP, the woman was running along the 5100 block of River Road when she was clipped by a passing car.

A white sedan, driven by a male driver, struck the woman’s hip and kept driving without stopping to check on her well being. The woman received a minor injury to her hip area and the vehicle may have received minor damage to the side mirror from the collision.

Anyone who may have witnessed this event or who has information on the vehicle or its driver is asked to contact the Port Alberni RCMP at 250-723-2424 or anonymously at Alberni Valley Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
