Island man dies in Kildonan work accident

A Vancouver Island man has died after a loader at a work site rolled over onto him near Kildonan, down Alberni Inlet.

A Vancouver Island man has died after a loader at a work site rolled over onto him near Kildonan, down Alberni Inlet.

On June 11 at approximately 1 p.m., Port Alberni RCMP responded to a work site near Henderson Road in the vicinity of Kildonan, Inspector Mac Richards said.

A loader which was being operated at the work site rolled over on to a worker.  A 46-year-old male from Vancouver Island succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Neither his name or home community have been identified.

The Port Alberni RCMP along with the BC Coroners Service and WorkSafe BC are continuing their investigation into this accident.
