Port Alberni RCMP search for missing man

Port Alberni RCMP are looking for Stanley Robinson, 85, last seen Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015.

Port Alberni RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 85-year-old Stanley Robinson who left his residence at noon hour on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015.

He was wearing a charcoal grey fleece sweater, green checker plaid pyjama pants and slippers and is described as having grey hair and blue eyes. He was driving his vehicle, a white 1988 Ford F250 pickup, bearing BC Licence Plate #5286RM. The pickup may have a plywood tailgate across the back.

Family members believe Robinson may possibly be travelling the outlying logging areas around Port Alberni.

“It’s not really anticipated behaviour,” Port Alberni RCMP Sgt. Dave Boyce said.

Police will release a photo of Robinson as soon as one can be obtained, he said.

Anyone with information on the location of Robinson or his vehicle, is asked to contact the Port Alberni RCMP at 250-723-2424.
