SD70 byelection now Sept. 14

The Alberni Valley school district has set the date for its second byelection of the year to replace Tofino trustee Barbie Mayor.

The election for one Alberni school district 70 school board trustee has been officially set for Saturday, Sept. 14.

The election is to replace former trustee Barbie Mayor of Tofino, who resigned earlier this month.

The nomination period has not been set yet but will be sometime next month, said school district secretary-treasurer Lindsay Cheetham.
