The City of Port Alberni has received an application to amend Official Community Plan (OCP) Bylaw No. 4602 and Zoning Bylaw No. 5105 to enable a multi-residential development.

AMENDING BYLAW(S):

A. Official Community Plan Amendment (3830 5th Avenue) Bylaw No. 5094.

B. Zoning Amendment (3830 5th Avenue) Bylaw No. 5113

SUBJECT PROPERTIES:

1. 3830 5th Avenue - Lot 1, District Lot 1, Alberni District,

Plan EPP114008 PID: 031-881-327

DETAILS:

The proposed ammendments would enable construction of a multiresidential development at the subject property.

The OCP land use designation would change from ‘Institutional’ to ‘Multi-Family Residential’, and the zoning would change from ‘P1 Institutional’ to ‘CD4 Comprehensive Development - 3830 5th Avenue’ in the Zoning Bylaw.

TO PROVIDE FEEDBACK:

All comments to City Council must be recieved before September 09, 2024 at 12:00 P.M..

• Inlcude in the subject line: “Bylaw numbers 5094 and 5113”

• Include the name and address of the person making the submission

• Email correspondence may be sent to: corp_serv@portalberni.ca

• Correspondence may also be hand delivered to the drop box located left of the main entrance to City Hall.

TO SPEAK AT THE PUBLIC HEARING:

• Attend the meeting in person at the date and time of the meeting at City Hall Council Chambers.

• Any person who wishes to speak to this application will be afforden an opportunity during the meeting.

Copies of the amending bylaws as well as relevant reports, plans and documents are available for inspection at the Development Services Department, now located upstairs at 4835 Argyle St., from 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday (except Statuatory Holidays).
