Albert Moyen passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2018, on his 86th birthday.

He was the eldest of twelve children born to his parents, Henri and Lucille Moyen, in Saskatchewan.

He is survived by the love of his life, Carmen; children Norman (Cindy), Dianne (Denis), Annette (Doug), Paulette (Rob); daughter-in-law Yolanda, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings and extended family. Al is predeceased by his son Loren.

Al was a building contractor who built numerous homes and commercial buildings throughout his career. He loved the outdoors, including camping, boating, skiing, golfing, flying airplanes when he was younger, gardening, and travelling with Carmen.

Al was a great storyteller and could keep a room entertained for hours. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather who took great pride in his family. He will be dearly missed.

The family wishes to thank Dr. J. Meyer, Dr. W. Johnsen, and Dr. Feyi, Dr. J. Smit, and the nurses, health care workers, and volunteers at WCGH and Ty Watson House for the wonderful care they provided Al.

No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations in Al's memory may be made to Ty Watson House, 2649 2nd Avenue, Port Alberni, BC V9Y 1Z8.
