July 25, 1944 - July 12, 2021
It is with sorrowful hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. A gentle giant is finally at rest. He put up a brave fight for over three years, but the cancer won.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Penny, son Stephen, daughter Leslie, her life partner Bruce, grandson Zachary and brother Greg, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Steve was born in Edmonton, Alberta, where soon after graduating from high school he began a long and varied career as a repairman and home handyman. He moved with his family to Port Alberni in 2012, to enjoy his retirement by visiting places all over the island and meeting friends.
For a short time he volunteered with the IHS to share his life-long knowledge and interests in all things mechanical.
There will be no funeral, as requested, though the family will have a private day of celebration for a life well lived and loved.
Big "Thank you's" to Dr. Kitshoff, and the fantastic people at Ty Watson House. Your care was sincerely appreciated.
