GAUTHIER, Andre “Goat” Francis passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the age of 53 years. He was born in Quesnel, BC on March 31, 1964 to the late Michael Gauthier and Carol (Nikkel) Gauthier who survives. In addition to his father, Andre was preceded by his son Christopher.
Andre is survived by his loving wife of over 25 years Brenda (Rai); his children, Kayla, Matthew (Arielle), and Jasmine, and grandson Jordan; his brother Rene (Deborah) and sister, Nicole (Steve); Father and Mother-in-law, Harry and Nancy Rai and all the Rai siblings and their spouses; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Andre was a loving and dedicated family man who adored his wife and cherished his children and grandson. His love and dedication to family is evident in the closeness of his relationships with immediate and extended family.
Andre was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping with family and friends. He played hockey, football, baseball and always enjoyed a round of golf. He was passionate about hockey and will always be remembered for being a devoted Boston Bruins fan.
Andre was loved by all who knew him and he will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Alberni Athletic Hall, 3737 Roger Street, Port Alberni from 1:00 – 5:00 pm. Feel free to wear your Bruins best black, yellow and white. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
