September 20, 1936 - January 14, 2022
We are saddened to announce the passing of our dear mother & grandmother on January 14, 2022 in Victoria, BC at the age of 85. She is predeceased by her husband Domenico (2009), parents Antonio & Maria, brother Victtorio & sister Amelia. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Brunetta, Marisa (Terry) & Rick; (DIL) Lisa; grandchildren: Brandon, Kayla & Alyssa; brothers in Italy Cesare & Silvano; as well as numerous relatives and friends in Canada & Italy.
Anna was born in Valdagno, Italy & immigrated to Canada in 1957 to join her fiancé Domenico to start a new life together. They were married at the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Parish on December 28, 1957.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother & grandmother who enjoyed gardening, baking bread, & knitting lovely sweaters & slippers. Family meant everything to her and she showed us in so many ways. We will miss her dearly. Rest in peace mama, you will be in our hearts forever. Per Sempre nei nostri quori.
The family want to thank: Dr. Benjamin How & the many caregivers & staff at Glenwarren Lodge, Victoria, for their compassionate care for the past 5 years; Dr. Alan Fraser, Port Alberni, for his many years of faithful care & attention; to all the relatives, neighbours & friends who made it possible for our mother to stay in her home for as long as possible.
As per Anna's wishes no formal service will be held. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside will take place where she will be interred beside her husband in St. Peter's Cemetery, Port Alberni, BC.
