Anne Dashchuk

December 25, 2016

After a short fight with gallbladder cancer, Anne Louise Dashchuk slipped into heaven peacefully at WCGH on Sunday December 25, 2016 surrounded by her family. Anne was predeceased by her husband, Mike Dashchuk, and will be sadly missed by sons Alan and Larry (Rose), and by grandsons Steven, Curtis, and Ryan. She is also survived by her sister Ruth and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Anne was born on January 12, 1938 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. She and her family moved to Port Alberni in 1966 where she spent the rest of her life. Anne worked as a medical receptionist for Doctor Chan and Doctor O’Dwyer until her retirement. During her retirement she volunteered for Red Cross dispensing medical equipment. Anne was a very private person and didn’t want a funeral. The family would like to thank all the staff and doctors at WCGH, palliative care wing for their exemplary job in caring for Anne during her last days.
