In Loving Memory ~

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Arlene Marie Miller on January 7, 2025, coincidentally on her 88th birthday. Arlene was born in Port Angeles, Washington, USA, and moved to Canada as a young child with her parents, who settled in Port Alberni, BC.

Arlene's life journey was marked by both joy and sorrow. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Alvina and Fred Shipp, her first husband Barry, as well as her siblings Elaine and Ron, and her cherished daughters Cathy and Kathy. Despite these losses, Arlene's strength and resilience shone brightly throughout her life.

She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Ken Miller, who stood by her side through life's many adventures. Arlene is also survived by her siblings Jeanne and Fred, and her children Evelyn (Gary), Shannon (Owen), Cindy (Al), Penny (Mike), Laura (Darren), Barry, and Brent (Erica). Her legacy continues with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even a great-great-grandchild, all of whom were blessed to know her love.

A close friend for many years, Peggy Blake, will always remember Arlene's spirited personality and boundless kindness. Arlene was a devoted mother and grandmother, known for her immense love and care for family and friends alike.

In their retirement, Arlene and Ken found joy in traveling across Canada and the USA, reconnecting with friends and family they met along the way. These cherished memories will remain alive in the hearts of all who knew her.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at West Coast General Hospital for the compassionate care they provided to Arlene and her loved ones in her final days.

In accordance with Arlene's wishes, there will be no formal service held. We invite all who knew her to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful woman she was and to say their farewells in their own way.

Arlene Marie Miller's spirit will forever live on in the love she shared and the memories created with those she held dear.
