In loving memory ~
It's with sad hearts that we say goodbye to Barbara "June" Tetrault who left us on January 3, 2023. Her beautiful smile and positive outlook on life will remain in our hearts.
She was predeceased by her husband Leo of 64 years in 2020 and daughter Jacki in 2014. June is survived by her sister, Doreen; children, Cathy, Ken, and Tracey; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
June was an amazing mother, grandmother "Nana", and great-grandmother. June and her identical twin sister were born in Assiniboia, SK in 1931. June graduated from nursing school in Moose Jaw in 1952 and moved to Port Alberni in 1954. While living at West Coast General Hospital residence, she met her husband, Leo, and they married in 1956. Soon after 4 children arrived, Cathy, Jacki, Ken, and Tracey. June loved playing golf, curling and bridge. She was a volunteer with the West Coast General Hospital Auxiliary for many years and an active member of St. Albans Anglican Church, now Trinity Church. She loved to bake and her yummy cinnamon buns, pies, and 'Nana' dinner buns were coveted by all her family and friends.
