Bill Alexander Moore

We are sad to announce the passing of Bill on Jan 20, 2022. Bill was born in Port Alberni on March 29, 1947.
Bill was predeceased by his wife Elaine, his parents Emily and Chub, and his brother Pete.
He is survived by his wife Ursula, children Dene(Ebony) and Justin(Ashleigh), grandchildren Jack, Nova, Maze, Camilla and Logan, brother Tom and sister-in-laws Marj and Reyna.
Bill attended seminary at C.U.C in Lacombe Alberta and graduated from Andrews University in Michigan in 1980. He took his first job as a minister in the Seventh day Adventist church in Weyburn Saskatchewan in 1981.
Prior to 1987, Bill continued working as a pastor in Yorkton and Regina till moving back to Port Alberni in early 1987. He then started a distribution business in Nanaimo that soon partnered with the Nanaimo News Bulletin Newspaper in 1988. Bill continued to partner with the Bulletin untill 1999 when he moved back to Port Alberni a few years after being married to his second wife Elaine (Densmore). Bill was first married to Barbara 1971.
Bill loved sports, especially baseball in his younger years and later on in life was a member of local bowling league. He never lost his love for sports and also loved playing card games, and remained active up until the end of his life. He was very friendly and made many friends over his years as a minister and through other businesses.
A celebration of life will take place on May 8th at 1:15 at the Alberni Athletic Hall, 3727 Roger St, Port Alberni, B.C. followed by his ashes being spread at his property on Cherry Creek Rd. All are welcome to attend.
