October 28, 1945 - September 26, 2018
On September 26th we lost a legend. Bill passed away peacefully with his family and friends by his side after a brief battle with cancer.

He will be remembered for his epic stories in the bush, his love of hosting family and friends, his passions for food and golf, and of course, that Elvis curl.

Those missing Bill include: his 100 year young father, Bill Kriwokon senior; 98 year young Uncle Henry Kriwokon; the special person in his life, Peggie Jernslet; daughter Julia Payne (Scott); grandchildren, Luke and Josh; step-children, Kym Dyler (Peter) and Shaun Dyler (Katy); brother, Norm Kriwokon (Diane); sisters Vera Lafontaine (Mike) and Wilma Couiyk; all of their families; and countless other relations and friendships.

Reunited with Bill are: his son, Steven Kriwokon; late wife, Hana Kriwokon; siblings, Leonard Kriwokon and Thelma Winters; mother, Jessie Kriwokon; and again, many more.

A special thank you goes to the staff at the Hospital in Comox for their loving care in Bill's last month of life. You ensured his comfort at all times, and always made us feel welcome to be by his side. You were a huge and important part of our journey.

Please join us at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Memories in Port Alberni on October 12th to celebrate Bill's life. You are welcome to be present as we lay him to rest at St. Peter's Cemetery, and then gather at the Best Western Barclay Hotel to share food and stories.
