June 13, 1950 - August 19, 2020
Brian Roy Daniels aged 70 passed away on August 19th, 2020 in Calgary, Alberta after a sudden illness. Brian was born in Cranbrook, B.C., on June 13th, 1950.
Brian most recently resided in Cranbrook, B.C., however he was a long-time resident of Port Alberni, B.C. He worked as a Millwright in Port Alberni for many years as well as working shutdowns around the province.
Brian volunteered with the Navy League Cadets for most of the 33 years he resided in Port Alberni. He could often be found walking or riding his bike around town and loved drinking coffee with friends while they walked their dogs. Brian was known to be kind and helpful and was often called upon by family, friends, and neighbours when a hand was needed.
Brian was known to spoil the children in his life whether it was treats and toys, or spending time with them catching bugs, fishing, or teaching them how to build or fix something. He had endless patience to help a young person learn a new skill. He also had a great love of animals, particularly dogs and always had a treat in his pocket just in case. Brian was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and favourite uncle and will be missed dearly by so many.
Brian is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Vicki Daniels whom he married on June 1st, 1973 in Cranbrook, B.C. He is also survived by his children Daryl (Lisa) Daniels, and Cheryl (Dwayne) Sanders, grandchildren Nolan Sanders and Faith Daniels, brothers Bill Daniels, Dennis (Bev) Daniels, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, as well as cousins, in-laws, friends, neighbours and work mates.
