Carmen Moyen passed away in Port Alberni on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the age of 84.
Predeceased by her loving husband Albert and her son Loren, her sisters Lena & Hilda, brother Armand and her parents Joseph and Marie.
Survived by Norman (Cindy), Dianne (Denis), Annette (Doug), Paulette (Rob) as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren - all her greatest treasure!
Carmen moved to Port Alberni at a young age from Quebec. The family lived on a houseboat at the Harbour as well as in town and out Beaver Creek.
Carmen was always the happiest surrounded by her family over many dinners or family bbq's. Always smiling and giving the best hugs!
Always busy, she loved to crochet, sew, cook and spent a lot of time boating, camping, travelling and making memories. She opened a store called Carmen's Creative Gift Boutique in the mall where she spent many happy years creating gift baskets.
Although she enjoyed many adventures Carmen's greatest joy was spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Van de Merwe, Dr. Williams, Doctors, Nurses and Care Aides at West Coast General and Echo Village as well as her Private Home Care Aides for the compassion and kindness shown to our Mom.
According to Carmen's wishes, no formal service will be held.
