In loving memory ~
Ann passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 15, 2022 in Nanaimo after a short battle with cancer.
Ann was born and raised in Nanaimo, BC. Ann met Garry in Qualicum Beach in 1958, they wed in 1960 and were happily married for 62 years. Ann loved and was loved by her husband Garry and their three sons. Rory (Ann), Doug (Donna), and Kerry (Susan). There are many happy
memories of their years raising their three sons. She enjoyed watching and supporting them in their love of athletics.
Ann worked for Telus for 25 years, retiring at the age of 50. Her husband Garry was a Port Alberni Businessman and both were fortunate to retire at 50 years and enjoyed a long retirement together travelling. They enjoyed their winter home together in Arizona for 28 years, met many
lifetime friends and played a lot of golf together.
One of their favorite trips was to Australia where they cruised from Sidney Australia to Vancouver.
Ann and Garry enjoyed many cruises together. They also enjoyed a month travelling through Alaska and completed two trips across Canada. No matter where they traveled, Ann could not wait to return to the jewel of Canada, Vancouver Island where both Ann and Garry were born.
Ann's wishes were for no service or celebration of life but preferred a small gathering with family. A special goodbye to her dear friend Donna-Lou, all her golf and mah-jong friends, all of whom she loved.
A special good bye to her dear friend Betty, who Ann volunteered with at Loaves and Fishes in Nanaimo.
Ann was able to be at home thanks to the loving care provided by Garry and Family.
Our thanks to the doctor and care givers during her short stay in the palliative care unit in Nanaimo.
