Corey Herbert Porter

In Loving Memory Of Corey Herbert Porter, 76 passed away Tuesday June 18, 2019 with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born November 24th, 1942 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, he was the son of the late Herb and Muriel Porter. He is predeceased is by his brother Roy Porter and survived by their sister Beverly Lloyd (Don).
Corey grew up in the Alberni Valley and as a young man moved to Prince George where he worked in the pulp and paper industry. When he returned to Port Alberni with his young family he was part owner of the Barclay Hotel and later trucking companies.
He leaves behind his partner Jan Richmond and is predeceased by his late wife Lillian. Corey is survived by his daughter Nicole Uzelman (Randy), son Clinton Porter (Jacquelyn), two grandchildren, Shelby Uzelman (Jason), Dallas Uzelman (Cassidy): Step Children Louise Shepherd (Tim), Laura Van Vilet (Ron), Rhonda Richmond (Jay), Shad Richmond and Jan's nine grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held June 28, 2019 at 6:00 pm at the Italian Hall Events Centre 4065 6th Avenue, Port Alberni
