It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Craig Rousseau. Craig passed away in Port Alberni on August 8, 2018 at the age of 57. He was surrounded by loving family.
Predeceased by his parents Trudy and George, Craig is survived by children: Brittany, Crystal and Brandon; as well as sister Deborah (Phil), nephew Matthieu, and niece Rhea.
Born and raised in the Alberni Valley, Craig graduated from the local high school and worked at several Port Alberni mills including: the Pulp Mill, Coulson's & Somass. Craig was actively involved in the local sport community and played ball & hockey as a goalie for most of his life, at first competitively and later for the love of the sport. Craig enjoyed volunteering his time to help coach, whether it was helping young hockey goalies or coaching his own children's t-ball teams.
Craig loved his family & friends and had a special place in his heart for special-needs kids and animals. He will always be remembered for the kind and gentle soul that he was.
The family would like to thank Dr. Puts and the nurses & caregivers at West Coast General Hospital for their loving care of Craig and our family.
No formal service will be held. However, the family would love to hear stories and memories of Craig. These can be offered at www.chapelofmemories.ca.
